An old bottle of the marvellous Dailuaine 1973 22-year-old Speyside single malt whisky, this was bottled at cask strength for Diageo forerunners United Distillers’ legendary Rare Malts Selection in 1996.

Weighing in at a particularly hefty natural cask strength of 60.92%, this Rare Malts 22-year-old Dailuaine 1973 was only the second ever official bottling from the distillery, which was built in 1852 but remains relatively obscure due to its importance as a blending malt. 1973 remains the earliest vintage of Dailuaine ever officially bottled; this 22-year-old was also the oldest official edition of Dailuaine until the arrival of the Dailuaine 34-year-old from 2015’s Special Releases.
