Description
Guyana Rum 26 2/3 Fl Ozs / 75 Proof
An old bottle of Four Bells Old Navy Rum, a popular dark rum brand bottled by the London firm Challis, Stern & Co. This bottle comes from some point after 1966, when Guyana became an independent state.
Four Bells was a dark Guyanese rum that at one point in the 1970s was the de facto ‘house’ rum for the British Merchant Navy, though the brand now seems to be defunct, sadly. A rich, flavoursome demerara rum bottled at 75 UK imperial proof (43%) and packed with chocolate, prune, molasses and tobacco notes.
