Description
British Guyana Rum 26 2/3 Fl Ozs
An old bottle of Four Bells Old Navy Rum, bottled by the London firm Challis, Stern & Co. at some point before 1966, when ‘British Guiana’ became the independent state of Guyana.
Four Bells was a dark Guyanese rum that at one point in the 1970s was the de facto ‘house’ rum for the British Merchant Navy, though the brand now seems to be defunct, sadly. A rich, flavoursome demerara rum packed with chocolate, prune, molasses and tobacco notes.
