A single vintage Glen Elgin 2008, assembled from a small batch of hogshead casks by Mossburn Distillers and bottled without colour or chill filtration in 2018 at its hefty natural strength of 59%.
Glen Elgin is another Diageo distillery that doesn’t get much love from whisky fans due to the lack of official bottlings, so it’s great to see more indie versions appear, especially at cask strength and without too much wood influence. We’ve high hopes for this.
