A wonderful old Glen Grant 15-year-old bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. This was one of the semi-official licensed bottlings that G&M were so good at and which later became known as the Distillery Labels series. This edition is from the early 1970s, so the whisky was likely distilled around the end of the 1950s.
Glen Grant and Gordon & MacPhail have a long shared history together, with G&M co-founder James Gordon holding shares in the distillery and both companies working together with Italian importer Armando Giovinetti to turn Glen Grant into Italy’s most popular single malt. These old 15-year-old Glen Grants from G&M are the epitome of classic old school Speyside and are always utterly delicious.
