Description
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 51.1%
A single cask Glen Grant 1966 59-year-old Speyside single malt whisky released in 2025 by indie bottlers Gordon & MacPhail as a special prestige limited edition to celebrate 2026’s Chinese New Year, which kicks off on February 17th 2026. 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, a rare event in Chinese astrology – the last year of the Fire Horse was in 1966, when this whisky was distilled.
This 59-year-old Glen Grant 1966 was a limited edition release of just 88 bottles – another lucky number in Chinese custom – yielded from single cask 3740, which was a second fill sherry hogshead cask, and was bottled at its natural cask strength of 51.1%, which is very impressive for its age. This promises to be a highly auspicious whisky.
