A beautiful, almost tawny coloured 40-year-old Glen Grant, this is a stunning amalgamation of honey, wood spice, strawberries, fresh fruits, orange bitters and herbal liqueurs, all courtesy of Gordon & MacPhail’s endlessly enviable stocks of ancient whisky. Sadly these precious long-aged Glen Grants have been going up considerably in the last decade, but even so this remains good value in today’s market for 1970s distillate from such a legendary distillery.
