This 2014 Glenglassaugh 11-year-old Highland single malt whisky was matured in single cask 155 for 10 years and then finished for 11 months in a first-fill St. Emilion Grand Cru red wine barrique cask. The result is a robust and flavourful whisky bottled without colouring or chill filtration at a natural cask strength of 55.9%.
Gleann Mor’s Rare Find range is known for its meticulous selection of single casks, and this 2014 Glenglassaugh 11-year-old is no exception. The marriage of the distillery’s characterful spirit with the influence of the first-fill St. Emilion barrique makes for a truly interesting combination.
