A majestic Glenury Royal 1968 36-year-old Highland single malt whisky that was one of the highlights of 2005’s Special Releases from Diageo. 2005 was an amazing year for the Special Releases, with gems from Glen Ord, Talisker, Convalmore and Brechin alongside the expected brilliance from Port Ellen and Brora.

This 36-year-old Glenury Royal 1968 is older and less sherried than the famous Rare Malts editions from the distillery, and although it describes itself as ‘gloriously mellow’ on the label, it’s still got plenty of oomph at 51.2%.
