This 18-year-old Speymalt Macallan 2005 was bottled from single cask 22606318, yielding 347 bottles at its very impressive natural cask strength of 58.1%. The Speymalt whiskies have long been the smart way to get sherry-matured Macallans of this age at relatively sensible prices, and now that G&M are no longer buying new fillings we have to accept that one day the last Speymalt will be bottled – cherish them while they’re still here.
