This 16-year-old Highland Park 2002 from G&M was Batch 19/134, which matured for 16 years in a single refill sherry butt #13601101 that yielded just 672 bottles at a natural strength of 57.9%. A great example of a single cask, cask strength Highland Park, for whom refill sherry casks are perhaps the best possible maturation vessels.

Nose: Rich dark chocolate and ginger aromas complement notes of caramelised orange peel.
Palate: Sweet golden syrup with bursts of grapefruit zest transform into soft chilli spice.
Finish: Delicate aniseed.
