Description
Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 57%
An old single cask Highland Park 2004 16-year-old Island single malt whisky released in 2020 by independent whisky bottlers Gordon & MacPhail at full cask strength as part of their Connoisseurs Choice series.
You have to love the Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range – sturdy bottles with plenty of heft and labels packed with info about exactly what you’re getting into. In this instance it’s another surefire hit: a single cask 2004 vintage Highland Park from a first fill sherry hogshead (number 14601303 for those interested) bottled at a good age, 16-year-old, and a very solid natural cask strength of 57%. Difficult to see what could go wrong here – the only downside is that there were only 318 bottles…
