These days the sub-£100 Special Releases are just a distant memory, of course, but on the flip side of that the packaging now has a picture of a lion with its hair on fire. Anyway, you can be sure that even at modern Special Release prices this 12-year-old Lagavulin cask strength will be reassuringly excellent and worth the outlay.
