A wonderful old bottle of Lagavulin 12-year-old Islay single malt whisky. This 12-year-old Lagavulin is one of the cream label White Horse editions released in the mid-1980s shortly before Lagavulin was reinvented as a 16-year-old and joined the Classic Malts.
Bottled at 43%, these splendid old 1980s bottles of pre-Classic Malts Lagavulin 12-year-old pack an extraordinarily powerful intensity for the strength and are highly sought after nowadays as fine examples of the distillery’s magnificent early 1970s distillate.
An oily, fruity, smoky, minerally classic, these old White Horse 12-year-olds are brimming with intense, oily peat, drying notes of seaweed, big coastal aromas and a riveting streak of tropical fruit.
