A bottle of Lindores Abbey STR Wine Barriques limited edition single malt Scotch whisky, this is one of three releases in the distillery’s Cask of Lindores series, which first appeared in 2022, and was bottled without colouring or chill filtration.

Lindores Abbey is a new Scottish distillery founded in the Lowlands at the site referenced in the earliest written record of Scotch whisky distilling – the famous 1494 instruction to Friar John Cor, and this whisky was bottled at 49.4% in tribute.

The Cask of Lindores series showcases the three types of wood used for maturation at Lindores Abbey, which only began production at the end of 2017. This Lindores Abbey single malt whisky was matured exclusively in STR (Shaved, Toasted, Recharred) Wine Barriques that previously held Spanish red wine and is a youthful but highly characterful dram with lively fruit flavours.
