The highlight of Morrison Distillers’ Mac-Talla range of secret Islay malts launched in 2021, Mac-Talla Strata is a 15-year-old smoky Islay single malt of unknown origin.
Mystery Islay malts are usually fantastic value, and we’re pretty sure that as former owners of Bowmore, Morrison Distillers don’t have too much trouble getting their hands on great casks from all the Islay distilleries.
This 15-year-old single malt has been matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, with a rich, balanced flavour profile encompassing both smoke and sweetness. A delicious, multi-layered Islay malt in the classic style.
