A 50cl bottle of maverick indie bottlers Little Brown Dog’s 28-year-old North British 1992 single grain whisky, bottled from a refill bourbon cask at a tempting 48.7%.

North British distillery is one of Scotland’s few surviving grain whisky makers, and is jointly owned by Diageo and Edrington. The distillery produces around 70 million litres of whisky a year, but examples of its single grain whisky are hard to find – and this one looks like a bargain.
