A single cask Port Ellen 1980 16-year-old Highland single malt whisky released in 1996 or 1997 by mail order independent whisky bottlers Direct Wines for their First Cask series.
This 16-year-old Port Ellen 1980 came from single cask 89/589/49, bottled without colouring or chill filtration at 46%. There were several of these fantastic teenage PEs in this series, and Signatory bottled several more from the same batch – all absolutely delicious whiskies.
