Description
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Direct Wines Ltd 70cl / 46%
A single cask of Strathmill 1977, bottled as a 27-year-old without colouring or chill filtration in the mid-Noughties by Direct Wines for their mail-order whisky range First Cask.
Strathmill is one of Diageo’s most obscure distilleries, a workhorse making elegant, grassy Speyside malt for the J&B blend, and the only regular official bottling is the Flora & Fauna edition. This First Cask Strathmill 1977 has been bottled at the series’ standard strength of 46% and shows what this underrated distillery is really capable of given enough time in cask.
