A single cask Glenallachie 2008 12-year-old Speyside single malt whisky. Glenallachie 2008 Cask 1867 was bottled without colouring or chill filtration as one of half a dozen single cask Glenallachies selected by Billy Walker to comprise Batch 3 of the distillery’s single cask releases.
This Glenallachie 2008 12-year-old was unusual in that it had been matured full term in a ruby port pipe. Due to the size of the cask, it produced 700 bottles at a natural cask strength of 52.3%.

Colour: Rich Ruby.
Nose: Lashings of honey, treacle and grape must, with sweet spice and hints of dark chocolate.
Taste: Waves of heather honey, vanilla and treacle, fused with cinnamon, rosehips and mocha.
