This Glenallachie 2006 16-year-old was bottled from a single Pedro Ximenez sherry hogshead cask #6607, with an outturn of 376 bottles at an impressively chunky natural cask strength of 59%. These sherry-matured Glenallachie single casks go faster than the proverbial off a shovel, so you’ll need to be quick to get one of these.

Colour: Rich Chestnut.
Nose: Bursting with almonds, treacle and brittle toffee, with notes of raisins, dark fruits, chocolate and baking spices.
Palate: Lashings of dark chocolate, toffee sauce and demerara sugar, followed by mocha, honey and treacle, with cinnamon and coconut shavings on the finish.
