A single cask 1986 Glenfarclas bottled for the Spring 2017 outturn of the distillery’s much-loved Glenfarclas Family Cask series.
This Glenfarclas 1986 Cask 3447 was a refill sherry butt that yielded 547 bottles at its natural cask strength of 52.8% after over 30 years of maturation. These long-aged refill sherry Glenfarclas casks are absolutely beautiful whiskies, with the sherry enhancing but not dominating the distillery’s waxy, fruity spirit.
