Bomberger’s Declaration is small batch high strength Kentucky straight bourbon released annually in small batches by Michter’s as a tribute to their former distillery in Pennsylvania which was once known as Bomberger.
This 2025 edition of Michter’s Bomberger’s Declaration is batch number L25E1904 which yielded 2569 bottles at a very punchy 108 US proof, equivalent to 54%. Bomberger’s is bottled by Michter’s in small batches and makes extensive use of whiskey aged in casks made with the distinctive Chinquapin oak (aka Quercus muehlenbergii) which adds complexity to the delicious berry, chocolate and salted caramel-tinged palate.
