An old bottle of Pulteney 1967 17-year-old Highland single malt whisky released by independent bottlers Wm Cadenhead’s in 1985 in their iconic black-labelled dumpy brown glass bottles.
Indie bottlings of Pulteney aren’t exactly abundant nowadays and were even rarer back in the 1980s. This 1967 Pulteney is an old school waxy, metallic, minerally, herbaceous gem of a Highland whisky and was released at a sturdy 46%, enabling it to retain plenty of oomph even after four decades in the bottle.
